  • No inspections will be made unless permit card is displayed and visible from the street, and stamped approved plans are readily available.
  • A permit will become null and void if the work authorized does not have another approved inspection every one-hundred and eighty (180) days.
  • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing inspection approvals are required before building inspections.
  • Certificate of Occupancy must be secured before a building can be used or inhabited for any purpose.
  • Do not remove building permit from job site until issuance of a certificate of occupancy.

Inspections are performed Monday through Friday 9am - 2pm.  
A time specific inspection may be requested, but must be approved in advance. Time specific inspections are subject to a $150 inspection fee, which must be paid prior to scheduling the approved time specific inspection.

All permitted construction must be inspected and you must call, request through the portal, or email to schedule your inspection.

Inspections received prior to 3:30PM will be scheduled for the next inspection day.

Ensure the following information is included in your request:

  1. Permit or Project Number
  2. Type of Inspection needed
  3. Date the Inspection  is to be performed
  4. Contractor’s and property owner’s name
  5. Address of Job Site
  6. Contact person’s Phone Number and Any Special Request
  7. Details pertaining to the inspection such as permit card location or gate codes.
Inspections called in after 3:30 p.m. will be performed within the next two business days.

In order to expedite the inspection, contractors and/or homeowners are asked to ensure that the building is posted with clearly visible numbers for identification.
