Sea Turtle Release at Sombrero Beach

 Come celebrate Earth Day with us this Friday at Sombrero Beach!  We will be returning a gorgeous 65 pound juvenile green sea turtle to his ocean home!  "TJ Sharp" was rescued off Key West earlier this year where he was found floating, unable to dive with fibropapilloma tumors.  Treatment at the Turtle Hospital included tumor removal surgery, broad spectrum antibiotics, fluids, vitamins and a healthy diet of greens and mixed seafood.  TJ Sharp is diving and back to good health!  Bring your family and friends and join us at Sombrero Beach in Marathon on Friday, April 22nd.  We will arrive with the turtle in the Turtle Hospital ambulance at 9:10 a.m., with release promptly at 9:30 a.m.  Sea you there!
