“A good fire inspector with a sharp pencil will save more lives in a day than most operational firefighters will in a career.”

The Fire Marshal’s Office is dedicated to protecting the City of Marathon and its citizens, as well as Key Colony Beach, with one goal in mind: to reduce loss of life and property due to fire and related hazards. This goal will be accomplished through fire prevention education, fire investigations and compliance inspections.
