Comprehensive Plan

The City of Marathon Comprehensive Plan establishes long-term goals and objectives to direct the future growth and sustainability of the City. Designed to be a living document, it is designed to provide certainty as the City develops. It accomplishes this, in part through limitations on amendments and requirements for financial feasibility, responding to our City’s growth and the community’s vision. The Comprehensive Plan serves as the guide for making such decisions as land use changes, capital improvement programs, and the rate, timing, and location of future growth.

The City of Marathon Comprehensive Plan  (Effective July 5, 2005) is divided into three volumes:

  • The Policy Document
  • The Map Atlas
  • The Technical Document

Hard copies of each volume can be available upon request through the Clerk’s office, or by visiting City Hall.
